Adela Garcia was born in the Dominican Republic and raised with two brothers who always encouraged her to be a bit of a tomboy. Growing up, she played volleyball, softball, and basketball. She started lifting weights when she was 17, and joined an ROTC program in college. She started teaching aerobics and working as a personal trainer in 1995. That was the first year she competed. She placed 2nd. Since then, Adela won the 2006 Fitness International competition at the Arnold Classic, and won 1st place in the 2009 Olympia Fitness contest. Adela’s body is good enough to compete with the best in the industry. She has excellent proportion and very mature musculature.
