Our interview with Jessica:
Tell us about yourself – the basics. Age, height, weight, measurements. Where’d you grow up? Brothers, sisters, married, single?
20 years old, 5’4” tall, 105lbs, 32-24-33, I grew up in a small town in North Carolina. I have 2 brothers and a twin and I am single.
Athletic history – how did you get into your current fitness lifestyle? Were you athletic or active growing up? What organized or individual sports have you played? What are your favorite sports?
Ive always been a runnersince elementary school. I ran track throughout middle school and high school and I thoroughly enjoy running and mountain biking.
Describe your current fitness routine. What kind of activities, exercise, frequency, intensity? What’s your diet like? Do you take any vitamins or supplements? Does this vary day by day, week by week, seasonally?
As of right now I am just getting back into working out 3 times a week, whether that be all in the gym or running a couple miles each day. I just take a normal multi-vitamin every day and I eat what I want.
Do you listen to music when you workout? What are your favorites?
I listen to theory of a deadman or greenday when I workout because I love the beats.
What are you best bodyparts?
Id have to say my legs are my best asset.
Goals – what are your short, medium, and long-term goals as they relate to fitness? How about fitness modeling?
My goals are to get back into great shape and run a few marathons and compete in mountain biking. Fitness modeling would be a plus and make my life enjoyable because id love to share my body with the world.
Do you feel like you’re in better shape now than a year ago? If so or if not, what do you attribute this to?
I am definitely in better shape than a year ago and I hope to keep going in a better direction. I definitely have running to thank for my body. It keeps me toned.
Do you find it hard or easy to stay fit?
I find it pretty easy to stay fit because fitness has always just been a standard for me.
What gives you a mental edge? That little bit of extra oomph to get past the hard days or the sticking points? What motivates you?
The best motivation I have is unfit people. I want them to look at me and wanna change their lifestyles. Also I want people to realize how hot a mom can be.
Who do you look up to? Who inspires you? Are there any famous athletes or fitness figures you would love to meet?
I have always looked up to my brother. He trained me and created my lifestyle and we haven’t stopped since.
