For fun, Elsie used to play volleyball and softball in high school. When things got serious, she ran like the wind – Elsie was a track star. All this despite the fact that she is only 5 feet tall. She claims that her nerves are her biggest enemy on stage (figure competitions), and she loves to pig out on pizza and cake after a show. more Elsie

Raechelle Chase

Time to polish that diamond ring up boys. It’s hard to get enough of Raechelle Chase. She may be a married mom of three, but wow look at her. She is a figure competitor and fitness model, but she has more muscle than the average competitor. She is from New Zealand, which means she probably has one of those sexy exotic accents. Mmm, mmm, what a smile, and what biceps! Any woman who earns her pro card can tell you a thing or two about diet, but as someone who has been in the gym for 10 years and who espouses the benefits of clean eating, Raechelle is big on nutrition.

Raechelle is also acting deputy editor of a fitness magazine in New Zealand. I don’t know how she has the time to do it all, but wow she looks gorgeous doing it. Her first competition was when one of her kids was only 10 months old. She turned pro in 2009 and has never looked back. more Raechelle Chase

Valerie Ross

Valerie Ross (formerly known as Valerie White) is an Asian fitness model who seems to have a finger in every pie. It’s hard for me to use that saying since 10 or 15 years ago when American Pie came out. The name of the movie, and the scene with the waaaarm apple pie has sort of changed us forever. But I digress. Valerie’s full-time job is working as a medical sales rep in Edmonton in Canada. As you can tell, she spends more than a little time honing her physique, and she knows a thing or two about building muscle and burning fat. When she gets the urge or the opportunity, she does fitness modeling. And she also plays a lot of poker and writes articles for various websites talking about how to go about developing either a) your physique, or b) your poker talent. more Valerie Ross

Jaime Baird

Jaime Baird is one of those turn-around fitness babes who went from unhealthy to healthy in no time flat. I don’t think she was every chubby or bordering on collapse or anything, but she was a workaholic and rarely exercised until she attended a bodybuilding and figure competition and met Shannon Dey. She went to one of Shannon’s camps, and began training for her first competition. The rest is fitness history. I love the way Jaime says it – this isn’t just something she does, it’s a part of who she is. Her dedication to training and diet seems to make a difference in her competition results. Ali Rosen

Ali Rosen in a gorgeous NPC Bikini competitor who is looking to earn her pro card. Ali is 22 years old and works as a personal trainer and nutritional consultant. She has an Italian and Russian heritage, and was born in Miami Florida. She placed 1st in her height class in the 2009 Florida Gold Cup, and followed that up with a 4th place finish at the 2009 NPC National Bodybuilding, Figure, and Bikini Championships. Ali says she enjoys the bikini division because it allows her to embrace both the beauty and femininity of bikini with the athleticism of figure. I tend to agree with her, although I lean more toward appreciating the more muscular and figure-esque bikini competitors.

Andrea Smith

As one of the top Hot and Fit 100 in Canada (per Inside Fitness Magazine in 2009), Andrea Smith probably deserves one of our profile posts here. She competes in the WBFF in the bikini and fitness division. She is a student at the University of Manitoba.

Andrea was a swimmer growing up, but got hooked on fitness when she met Michele Jean-Pierre. Hey… wait a sec, it’s another lady we need to profile! more Andrea

Marzia Prince Captivates

It’s pretty ridiculous that we haven’t posted anything on totally-fab Marzia Prince since 2007.

She is pretty much a phenom. She’s everywhere. I think her tidal wave is taking over the fitness chick industry. She recently placed 2nd in a bikini contest at the club Rehab in Vegas. I’m sort of eager to see who placed 1st. The angels must have sung when the winner twirled on stage.

Carissa Monroe

Carissa Monroe is a 25 year old from Colorado Springs Colorado. She is a figure competitor, certified personal trainer, and fitness model. She’s a small gal at 5’2″ tall and only 98 lbs. She’s very trim and fit. Hey, dynamite comes in small packages, right? I would be interested in finding out more about her athletic background, and hopefully we’ll update when we hear how she does in her first competition.

Brittany Staples

Have you heard the saying “there are old pilots and bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots”? This is unfortunately applicable to many boxers and mixed martial artists. You can find a few good looking (male and female) fighters, but the industry is kind of rough on the body and the face, so eventually that takes a toll on beauty. Twenty-five year old Brittany Staples to a certain extent is trying to defy the odds when it comes to this adage. From Boston Massachusetts, Brittany is a NPC Figure Competitor who also happens to be a popular fitness model and a golden gloves boxer.

Brittany is 5’3″ tall and about 115 lbs. What she lacks in size she makes up for in speed, power, and beauty. She placed 16th in the 2010 Team Universe, 9th in the 2010 Jr National Championships, and 4th in the 2009 Eastern USA Championships. more Brittany Staples

Dayna Maleton

Dayna Maleton lives in New Jersey and competes in NPC Bikini events. She entered her first contest after dieting for only 3 weeks. She got away with this because she lives a very healthy lifestyle, with a strict diet and plenty of exercise and activity. Dayna ended up winning her 2nd contest and earning her pro card. She used to be a high school track star, which helps explain some of her muscularity. Dayna has worked as a makeup artist before, and hopes to land a few fitness magazine covers as an up-and-coming fitness model.

Dayna has a wonderful, polished look. She is close to being able to compete in figure with the quantity and quality of muscle she has. I think she’ll go far in any division!
