Heather Robertson

Heather Robertson was recently on the cover of Oxygen Magazine, a sure way to get a whole bunch of attention. I don’t know why all these photographers keep snapping photos of Heather with her head turned or facing the camera and then desaturate the pics to zap all the color – she has the most incredible color of blue-green eyes ever. Yes, she really is that pretty and no, you cannot touch her tummy.

She had a good year back in 2007. She won 1st place in a Canadian Fitness Model contest, achieved her pro card as a bikini model by placing first in a competition, and won the David Ford National Fitness Model Search. more Heather Robertson

Leigh Lingham

Leigh Lingham, aka Leigh Brandt, is an IFBB Bikini Pro from Canada. She grew up with two older brothers who tended to keep her interested in sports and very active. She felt like she was getting out of shape after graduating and starting a full time job, so she began pursuing fitness training and fitness competitions.

Leigh struggled in figure contests for a few years – she was fit and looked it, but she just didn’t have the muscle bulk and definition she needed to win. That was before the NPC introduced a new bikini category. Not long after she started there, she has a Pro card and has never looked back.

Amanda Duncan

Congratulations, it’s your day to enjoy the beauty of Amanda Duncan here on FitBabesBlog. If you were thinking she looks hot enough to be a fitter-than-usual playboy playmate, you are entirely missing the fact that she’s an NPC bikini competitor.

Jennifer Apodaca

Jennifer Apodaca is a fitness model and bikini pro featured in Flex magazine recently. She is quite an enigma. She is a true “10”, with a phenomenal body and drop-dead gorgeous face, but she is rough and tumble too. She was raised doing chores on a farm, and competed in karate as well as intramural bench press activities in college. Jennifer won her IFBB Bikini pro card, partly because of her strong physique. Alicia Melelani

Currently living in Las Vegas, Alicia Melelani is a fitness model who does does of promotionals and appearances. She is a model for Pure Form Labs, a ring girl for Strike Fight Gear, and a brand ambassador for Dove. Alicia managed to take 1st place in her first NPC bikini show in Culver City early in 2010. Hot Chicks in Bikinis

My, my – there is just something about hot chicks in bikinis isn’t there? It’s a little bit like naughty lingerie except women are actually supposed to wear it out in public. I don’t know who thought of this idea, but kudos to them!

Bikinis became popular back in the 1960, driven mainly by Hollywood and the big screen. It’s silly to attribute modern bikinis to the likes of Jantzen or French fashion designers considering there are plenty of statues and paintings of the Greek Goddess Venus from the old Roman era showing her strutting her stuff in a bikini.

I grew up drooling over Princess Leia in her shiny gold bikini in the Return of the Jedi, and man I’ve only grown more fond of them since. Here at FBB, we love paying homage to hot chicks in bikinis, and you our devoted readers/visitors are the primary beneficiaries.

There are tiny bikinis and conservative ones, fuzzy ones, sleek ones, sporty ones like what we see in the Olympics, the list is endless. It was reported that almost a billion and a half dollars worth of bikinis are sold every year. This make sense, because we all know ladies have to buy new ones every year, aren’t ever satisfied with the fit or the look of the one they have, and will sometimes buy two or three because they can’t decide on a favorite. The average bikini costs $40 or more. Some women are shameless about buying used bikinis, which I find interesting since that’s not much different than buying used underwear (which has never seemed terribly popular). Fitness models frequently buy, sell, and trade posing suits, bikinis, workout wear, etc so why not bikinis?

Bikini contests seemed to be a legitimate source of income for chicks who had it and didn’t mind showing it a little. And this was before the NPC Bikini division was started. At this point, girls have a great chance to have a classy bikini showing and help promote their fitness modeling and spokesperson efforts.

It’s not so much what bikinis reveal as what they cover up. Hot chicks know what to leave up to the imagination, and what they show is always oh so tantalizing. Sexy bikinis are great, but I’m always more entranced by the bodies that are in them. We have to be thankful that we have the modern bikini to celebrate, but just as importantly we have to appreciate what has come about as a result. Where would we be without the bikini wax, bikini contest, and the mankini?

Nathalia Melo

Nathalia Melo is the smoking hot Latin babe who is tearing up the fitness model world these days. She is from Brazil and started out in the US as an exchange student. She is a bikini competitor as well, and Shannon Dey is her coach. The IFBB wouldn’t let her compete because of a citizenship problem, but instead of playing the victim, Nathalia petitioned them to let her in as an International Athlete and multi-cultural influence. More power to her!

Nathalia has tons of personality and it always seems to come through in her stage presence, interviews, and photo/video shoots.

Kira Rivera is an IFBB Bikini Pro from Panama. She has been competing in about 3 shows per year for awhile now.

Brooke Mora

Brooke Mora was featured as a fitness model inside Muscle & Fitness Magazine. She lives in California and and is in the film industry as a director. She was a cheerleader and played softball growing up. She continued to be athletic and has even competed in triathlons.
